Akismet
Comes pre-installed with WordPress. You need t register (and maybe make a small donation) so you can use this plugin which will keep out the spam comments.
All-In-One SEO Pack
Allows you to configure many of the on-page SEO (Search Engine Optimization) factors for your posts and pages. This will add a section to your edit/new post/page screen.
XML Sitemap Generator
Search engines look for you and then spider through your site based on what they find. If they find a sitemap (made specifically for them) in .xml format, you can direct those little rascals to where you want them to go.
PC Robots.txt
This plugin keeps the search bots out of where they don’t belong. All automatic or you can tweak if you like.
Page Link Manager
Sometimes you want to create a page that doesn’t show up in your navigation menu. But WordPress automatically puts pages in your menu. With this plugin, you determine which pages are included and which are not.
Google Analytics
Google provides, for free, a powerful tool to help you track analyze and otherwise get a zillion metrics on your site, visitors, traffic, and more. In order to utilize this service you have to put code on the pages of your site.
Pretty Link Lite
Shrink, track and share any URL on the Internet from your WordPress website!
